Physiotherapy is not only used for mobility issues or rehabilitation but is very useful for wound healing. Smiler had a non healing wound after a tendon repair.The wounds where is a difficult area as constantly moving with weight in the foot. We have use blue and red phototherapy and now the wound has healed.

Bailey is a 6 year old chocolate Labrador who suffered with a right hind cruciate ligament rupture. This case was referred by the surgeon and full reports were sent to the surgeon and usual vet after each treatment. A full physiotherapy programme was designed, commencing 2 weeks post surgery and once the stitches had been removed.

Alfie is a 6 year old West Highland White Terrier. Previously very active, Alfie’s owner found him one morning struggling to move about and clearly in lots of pain. He was rushed into the vets and after several tests and diagnostic imaging, it was discovered that he had a non-compressive cervical disc extrusion. This means that a disk in his neck had effectively burst open.

Ellie is a 20 year old Irish cross who damaged her check ligament in the field. She was scanned, box rested and underwent a course of Adequan. Unfortunately on this occasion little improvement had been made after the initial course of treatment so she was referred for physiotherapy.
